1. About This Policy
- This Privacy Policy explains how 1LightYear Labs ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Status Saver mobile application ("App") on Android.
- By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. What the App Does
- Status Saver helps you view and save WhatsApp status media (images/videos) after you grant permission on your device.
- You can save, share, and delete media from within the App. Processing happens on-device.
- Status Saver is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta.
3. Information We Collect
- No account required: The App does not require signup and does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
- Status media: The App accesses status media files only after you grant permission. These files are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
- Advertising/diagnostics: If ads are enabled, Google AdMob (Google LLC) may automatically collect information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device information (model, OS version), app interaction data, and crash/performance diagnostics to provide and measure ads.
4. Permissions We Use
- Media/Storage access (e.g., Photos/Videos/Files permissions): Used to read WhatsApp status media after you grant permission and to save copies to your device.
- Internet access: Used to load and measure ads (Google AdMob) and may be used for basic diagnostics related to advertising.
- We use permissions only for the purposes described above.
5. Third-Party Services
- Google AdMob (Google LLC) may be used to display ads. Google’s data practices are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- WhatsApp is a third-party app/service. Your use of WhatsApp is governed by WhatsApp/Meta’s policies. We do not control WhatsApp’s data practices.
6. Data Sharing
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not share your status media files with third parties. Saved media stays on your device unless you choose to share it.
- Ad-related data may be shared with Google through the AdMob SDK for ad serving, fraud prevention, measurement, and diagnostics, as described in Google’s policies.
7. Data Retention
- We do not store your status media on our servers.
- Any media you save is stored locally on your device until you delete it. If you delete saved media, it is removed from your device storage.
8. Security
- We design the App so that status media processing happens locally and is not transmitted to our servers.
- However, no method of storage on a device is 100% secure. We recommend using device security features such as a screen lock and keeping your OS up to date.
9. Children's Privacy
- The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
